Renelux Launches High‑Energy Polyurethane (PU) Pellets

Renelux Commodities PC has introduced Polyurethane (PU) pellets to its portfolio of alternative solid fuels. With an average Net Calorific Value of 7,100 kcal/kg (29.7 MJ/kg), these Italian‑origin pellets offer a powerful and cost‑efficient energy source for a wide range of industrial users.

Produced from refrigerator insulation foam waste, the material is pelletized under controlled conditions, reducing residual pentane to below 300 mg/kg and R11 to below 100 mg/kg.

Renelux to Undertake the Transboundary Transport of 6,000 MT of SRF (191210) from Italy to Ukraine, licensed on October 20, 2025 under Regulation (EC) 1013/2006.

Renelux will undertake the transboundary transport of 6,000 MT of SRF (191210) from central Italy to Ukraine, following the official approval issued on October 20, 2025, under Regulation (EC) 1013/2006 to the Italian producer/notifier and the Ukrainian end user/consignee.

The SRF will be delivered to one of Ukraine’s largest cement manufacturers, the country’s leading consumer of SRF and RDF fuels — a long‑standing Renelux partner since 2019.

Renelux has been entrusted with the entire logistics chain, including sea‑freight transport, transshipment operations in Odessa, and final road‑truck delivery to the end user’s plant.

The notification procedure required a comprehensive approval process by both Italian and Ukrainian authorities, successfully completed in October 2025. This project further strengthens Renelux’s position in the regional alternative solid‑fuels trading and logistics market.

Renelux, a registered direct buyer of NIS Refinery for nearly two years, has successfully completed the deliveries under an annual agreement signed one year ago to import and distribute NIS coke in the Greek market through monthly shipments. The total quantities delivered were approximately 3,550 metric tons.

In addition to its presence in the Greek market, Renelux has ensured a consistent supply of NIS coke to key markets in the Eastern and Southern Mediterranean, including Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus, Algeria, and Tunisia.

NIS coke, produced by the Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) Pancevo Refinery in Serbia, is a valuable byproduct of the refining process. The Pancevo Refinery, with a capacity of 4.8 million tons per year, plays a crucial role in producing cleaner fuels and enhancing the refinery's overall complexity. NIS coke is essential for meeting environmental regulations and promoting energy sustainability.

The initial deliveries were expertly transported via containers to ThraceEurobent, a strategic joint venture between the Thrace group and the Eurobent group. Bentonite clay, a pivotal raw material, plays a vital role in geotextile manufacturing—an industry where the Eurobent group has firmly established its presence in recent years.

Geotextiles, those versatile permeable fabrics, find application in civil engineering and construction. These synthetic materials, often crafted from polyester or polypropylene, serve multiple functions when combined with soil. Notably, they act as filter fabrics, allowing water to permeate while retaining soil particles—an essential feature for effective drainage systems and erosion control.

NIS coke refers to petroleum coke produced by the Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) Pancevo Refinery in Serbia. The Pancevo Refinery is a 4.8 million tons/year facility located in Serbia. It recently underwent modernization, including the construction of a deep refining complex based on delayed coking technologies.

NIS coke is a valuable product derived from the refining process, contributing to cleaner fuels, and enhancing the refinery’s overall complexity. It’s an essential component in meeting environmental regulations and ensuring energy sustainability.

Renelux Obtains Exclusivity from Turkish ENplus Certified Wood Pellet Producer BEYPEL to Market its high-energy efficiency pellets, made from 100% coniferous wood, in Greece, Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.

Beypel pellets have a high calorific value for better energy performance and a low ash and dust content that reduces equipment maintenance needs.

Beypel has been active in the energy sector since 1994. Since 2020, it has been producing the cleanest pellets in the industry. Beypel's production capacity exceeds 15,000 tons per year.
